I have recently begun researching my faily trees of KEVAN and ADAIR. My father's family appears to have lived in portwilliam/mochrum/glasserton area of wigtownshire since at least 1810. I have hit a dead end however with my ggg grandfather John Kevan born 3/1/1810 and married to (i think) jane Mccarmick. They had a son Alexander who was born in 1842. I would be grateful for anyone who can help me with further info. if I can be of assistance in your own search let me know.
