This might be just an FYI for you. My KERR ancestors were part of a family-group which inclulded HENDERSON which were from Co. Sligo, Ireland. The 9 people were all born in the 1780-1805 timeframe. And, the 4 couples all married and had at least one child there before migrating to Canada in 1823-1824. They were offered land in Argenteuil Co., Prov. of Quebec, and that's where they settled. And, the "KERR Farm" remains standing today, near Lakefield, P.Q.

(William and Mary (KERR) HENDERSON, Samuel and Catherine (?) HENDERSON,
Patrick and Elizabeth or Hannah (KERR ??) KERR, Miss Elizabeth KERR,
John and Ann (HENDERSON) KERR.) (No one knows .how. they were related.)

A few yrs. after arriving, a relative, Dawson KERR, arrived to live near them. Dawson had first settled in N.S. or N.B. ... After 20+ yrs. no one has been able to find out who the parents were back in Ireland. Elizabeth married in Canada, so there were 5 couples, and they all had many children.

An FYI is that there were 3 areas of the Prov. of Quebec were KERR families settled in, and they don't seem to have been related to .my. group. And, KERR's settled in N.B. and N.S., etc., and I didn't keep track of them.

All these families have been discussed on the KERR Lists and Groups and some of the Canadian Lists for 10+ yrs. So, you should check the archives of them.

P.S. I almost forgot to say that my ancestors, Robert KERR and Elizabeth HENDERSON, b1827 CAN, married there and had 5 kids there. Most of the family migrated to MA during the 1875-1885 time period. And, Elizabeth's sister did, also.
