Hi again,

I forgot to mention that .my. families settled in the Laurentian Mountains which are northwest of the St. Lawrence River. And, most were "English." And, the Maritime Provinces were considered "English." I believe the only parts of the very large Prov. of Quebec which were considered "French" were the general areas of Montreal and Quebec City.
