I am researching James M Kerr born 1 July 1840 in Ontario whose parents were John Kerr and Mary McCoy (both born in Ireland) who died 1 October 1931 in Mulmur, Ontario and is buried in the Alliston Union Cemetery.

I am wondering if James M Kerr (1840-1931) could be Samuel Kerr's grandson since the 1851 and 1861 census show John Kerr of Albion married to Mary with a son James born c 1840 with both parents born in Ireland.

James M Kerr raised 9 children (7 boys, 2 girls) in Mulmur Tshp with his wife Susanna Ambrosine Woods.
