I have had fair success tracing my own line, but have run into blank walls tracing my wife, Caroline Kerbs. We know that Caroline's family immigrated from either eastern Germany or Western Russia, probably in the mid 1800's. The latest name we have, though, is her grand-father, George Washington Kerbs, who was in Kansas in the early 20th century, but is suspected to have been born in Galga, Russia in 1861. His son, Herbert, married Virgina Jansen; her family "may" have immigrated to Kansas near the same time. Also a blank wall there. So, we are seeking any connection with him (or Jansen)to any other line of Kerbs.
