Surnames: Kepics Turanyi
My grandfather Michael Kepics came from Kovaszo, Hungary in 1909, which is now part of the Ukraine. He lived in Sharon, PA and had a brother, (I think John) in Wilkes Barre, PA.
My grandmother Julia Turanyi came from the same village.
I don't know if they had any other relatives that emmigrated or if any are still in Europe.
Would like to chat with other Kepics' searching their roots.

Dear Linda,
I am a grandson of Michael Kepics and Julia Turanyi living in San Diego, CA. My father, Steve Kepics, who passed away in 1995, grew up near Mercer, PA and lived his adult life in Sharpsville, PA near Sharon. I knew my grandfather only slightly as a young boy before he moved to Chester, PA. I never met my grandmother. I am 60 and have a brother, David, 54, who lives in Sharon. I would love to chat with you to find out more about my dad's family and ancestors.
Sincerely,
Stephen

Hi Linda
My name is Greg Kepics and I too have been researching my family tree. My family history is a little cloudy but what I do know is this. My grandfather was Micheal Kepics and my grandmother was Mary (Hirt) Kepics who came to this country from Nyirbeltek, Hungary around 1905 +- and resided in Trenton, NJ. And I know that the families that sprung from my grandparents centered on Pittsburgh PA. but have spread out across the US to CA. My cousin Jack and I are very interested in our family and have recently started documenting everything but have run into snags. So I look forward to hearing from you and sharing what I know. Please email me at USNGLK@Yahoo.com
