Keough, Jr. William J. “Bunky”
Keough, Jr., age 80, of Harborcreek Twp., passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh following a brief illness. He was born in
Erie on May 20, 1928, son of the late William J. and Louise
Tillotson Keough. A resident of
Erie his entire life, Bunky was a professional truck driver having been employed with Stan’s Garden Center, Yellow Freight and Interstate Motor Freight Systems. Upon retirement, he had been an electrician with
Keough Electric of
Ripley, N.Y. Bunky attended
Penn State; he was a member of the Siebenbuerger Club, East
Erie Moose Lodge and Gem City Gun Club; and enjoyed motor sports racing, snowmobiling, hunting, fishing, camping and traveling. He especially cherished his dogs.
Preceded in death by his wife, Carol
Windsor Keough in 1983, survivors include his two daughters, Shawn Keough-Hartz and Karen
Steinman, both of Erie;
three grandchildren, Timothy
Steinman,
Jacquelyn
Hartz and Anthony Steinman;
one brother, Donald S. Keough and his wife Mitzi of
Ripley, N.Y.; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
