Many thanks for your reply. My mother was born 1912-15 Bantry as May Keohane, I am not sure but she said she was fostered or adopted and lived with Hutchins family. My mother worked at a taylor shop. She met a peter connolly from Glengarriff and married him in England. (Peter Connolly was a brother to Mary McCarthy that recently passed away at glengarriff) I would love to know (my grandparents) Apparently my grandmother Rosanna lived witha man in a castle high on a hill, it burnt down and he was burnt in the fire, this was in Bantry, that is why my mother ended up an orphan. My grandmother died around 40 years ago (I did hear something about a name Dempsey) do not know if this has any connection. Maybe he was the man in the castle.
I did see a photo of it years ago, it was white and on a hill
Many thanks
Rosanna
