Are you sure that your Patrick Keogh (whatever spelling) was born in Ireland. I have a PATRICK KEOUGH, born in Goulburn, New South Wales, Australia about 1869 who married RACHEL WILLIAMS JONES in 1892 at Murrumburrah, NSW, dtr of James Jones and Agnes Bugden. There is a long story attached to Rachel. If you are interested I will email you. Jones was her real name but she went by a stepfather's name. I do not know where the ' Williams' comes from. Patrick and Rachel had 6 children that I know of, 5 of them girls. Nellie (1892), Marya (1894), Violet (1898), Dorothy (1900, my husband's grandmother) and Hannah (1901). There was a son, Edward (1896)
RACHEL was born also in Goulburn, 09.01.1873.
If this is not your Patrick , it's a mighty strange coincidence, don't you think?

I have details of Patrick and Rachel's ancestors going back to England and Ireland too if you need them.

Regards, Jill Wilson NSW

Dear Jill
Thanks for your message. I was always led to believe that Patrick came out from Ireland , it appears that I was led astray. Patrick and Racheal's daughter, Violet, is my grandmother. This certainly the right family,as dates and names match. Please let me know any information you might have,as I know next to nothing about my mothers family. You can email me direct at vsmart@vic.chariot.net.au.Look forward to hearing from you
Violet
