Hi, My grandfather was Kenneth W. Kenna born in Little Falls, NY. His father was William H. Kenna, born in Little Falls, NY, 8/24/1877, who also had a twin brother Charles Kenna of Little Falls, NY. I can't get back any farther than this and would appreciate any help! Thanks, Cindy

My origins are also in Little Falls - I think there were two branches of Kenna's there. My gggrandfather was William Kenna (b. 1815 Ireland - m. abt. 1837 Mary Fox (b. 1818 Ireland))

I think, perhaps, that William & Mary settled in Little Falls because they had family (perhaps yours) there. I have found for instance, two James Kennas who are the same age, each with a Dad named William, but one born in NY and the other in Ireland. This James was either a machinist or a clerk. Also found two thomas' about the same age in Civil War records and many Williams.

Do you know the names of your grandmothers or any other names and dates? Maybe we can put some puzzles together!

Hi, Thanks for the response. From what I can find out by visiting Little Falls and searching records, I have found that my grandfather, Kenneth Kenna (b. Little Falls, NY) had a father William H. Kenna , b. 8/24/1877, d. 10/24/1940 (who married Jennie Steelei Little Falls on 8/17/1903), who had a father Edward Kenna, b. 1857, d.. 8/27/1907(married Mary (not sure if last name was Emerson or O'Rourke), who's father was James Kenna and mother was Honora Kenna. Does this help? Also, on the Little Falls sight is a listing of some of the burials,for Anna Kenna, HP Kenna and I have several obituaries and census. Also connected with my family is Ward Stewart, born in Little Falls, NY in 1866 who married Eliza (Elizabeth Cramer). I cannot find anything about Ward Stewart from his birth until 1910, do you happen to know about the Stewart's from Little Falls? Thanks again, Cindy
