Thank you for your post. My 2nd great grandfather was John Kenah. He was born in the townland of Ballymacoda, city of Youghal in County Cork, Ireland in 1826 or 1830. His father was Patrick Kenah and his mother was Margaret Cadigan. He emigrated to America in 1857. He married Mary Rourke in 1864, in Immaculate Conception Church, Montclair, NJ. Together, they settled on a farm in Caldwell, NJ,and raised five sons and a daughter. He did not have a son named Robert. The Kenah Family of Essex County NJ, now live in several areas of the Country, but still spell the surname KENAH. I have a public tree on Ancestry which you are free to look at. It is the Kenah/O'Brien Family Tree. I have not found anyone in the family named KANE. If you have any questions or if I missed a branch of the family please feel free to contact me.
