I would like to know if you are related in anyway. Kenady is a very unusual spelling, and I've already been contacted by someone who recognized the name Gage Kenady from McCook Nebraska. Brothers Faye and Bill. Want to know where abouts the name came from, and where my ancestors are from.

Just what origin is the Kanady name? Scotch, Irish, Scotch Irish. There are many spellings of the Kennedy name. Don't feel left out as far as your clan is concerned if your spelling is a bit different. All spellings are welcome in the Kennedy Clan.

Some of the Kennedys who settled in the North of Ireland called
themselves O'Kennedy. One of these was Darby O'Kennedy of Ballekierogue
Castle, whose son John of Dublin, died in 1758.

The following spellings are given along with the dates of their
appearance. Spelling was not the exact science that exists today and
spelling was done by the person doing the writing, the way they heard
the name, therefore we find the following spellings all of which reflect
the name Kennedy; mac Kenedi about 1174, MacKenede 1185, MacKenedi reign
of Alexander I, Kenedi same period, Macenedy or Mackenedi 1240-8,

My family came form Hull and Quincy, Illinois. My grandfather was Frank Toner Kenady and his wife, Lillian Van Camp Kenady.
Is anyone part of this family? We live in Arkansas. I know at one time I met a lady named Alice that was a relative. Don't know her last name. She was from Hull. I thought there was a Henry Kenady from Quincy. I may be wrong about that. Would love to hear from someone in this family.

I think my grandfather was born in Quincy, Frank Toner Kenady. Never heard of Calvin D. but would be interested in what the D stands for. My father was Frank Delos Kenady. Please contact me. I would love to talk.

I don't know if it's the same name, but the Kenady spelling is identical. my grandfather gage kenady came from Mccook Nebraska, and later moved to Mexico City when he was a boy. What I found in my father writing was a paper stating aunt susie and alva sellers. It has something to do with a kenady because it says quincy ill.

I am from Arkansas also and my grandfather was William Henry Kanady, son of Green Berry Kanady. In some of the papers about them I have seen it spelled Kenady. We have James, William, John, Joseph's in our family. Do you see any connection to your family?

Hi,
I am looking for information on James Walter Kenady. They later changed the spelling of their name to Kennedy. I have James Walter in Abilene Texas in 1900. I don't know where he came from before that.

I'm looking for info regarding a Virginia or Jane Kenady (I've also seen her name spelled Kanaday and Kenaday) born in Virginia in 1807. She married Jacob Harris in Wilkes County, NC.
