Kemble Stout documented very little and accepted what other told as being correct. He was good at what is did and his book is not worth the sixty-five (65$) dollars he charged for it.
He spent four days with me and I spent over forty (40$) in library copies my records for him. He promised me a free copy of the book for all my help, the coping cost, buying lunch each for him and his wife. However, when the book was finally printed, he claimed he did not recall the free copy offer or my paying to copy my record or eating at Tell's Café near the library. So, I had to pay. I was excited when the book arrived and want to see what he had added as he was going to do more research. When I opened the book to my area, I was nearly mortified in shock. Of the 1,200 names and few hundred copied pages, he used only 56 names. Three days later, I called him and he said he discount the names with the KIMBLE spellings. I stated that his book title included Kembles & Kimbles, it all fell on deaf ears. He refused to take it back and give a refund. I was furious and rightly so. This also stopped me for a couple of years from sharing or assisting other in their searches.
Anything he put in the book, if he did not name the source, then no one will ever know the source.
