S. L. Kemberling called by death

Samuel L. Kemberling, well known Hollidaysburg merchant, died at his home, 413 Bella street, Hollidaysburg, at 2:30 o’clock yesterday afternoon of a complication of diseases.
He had been engaged in the store business for a period of fifteen years and for the past nine years had conducted a general store in Hollidaysburg. Earlier he had engaged in the milk business in Frankstown and for a time was a locomotive engineer for the Huntingdon & Broad Top railroad.
Mr. Kemberling was born at Canoe Creek on March 1, 1862, a son of Samuel and Mary (Confer) Kemberling. He had been a member of the Saxton Odd Fellows for a period of thirty-nine years.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Margaret (Houpt) Kemberling, and the following sons and daughters: Mrs. Keturah Merriman of Elwood City, Mrs. Alice Brenner, Mrs. Golda Colbert, E. L. and R. W. Kemberling, all of Hollidaysburg, S. C. Kemberling of the city, Mrs. Ethel Bice of Hollidaysburg, G. E. Kemberling of the city and T. R. Kemberling of Hollidaysburg. Twenty grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held at the home at 2:30 o’clock Saturday afternoon. Interment will be made in the Presbyterian cemetery at Hollidaysburg. The body may be viewed at the home.
