Apparently this suicide occured in Ireland in the 1870's to a Roman Catholic gentleman. Because at the time suicide was considered a serious sin (knowledge of the physical component of depression, etc. was unknown at that time), the death may not have been recorded as a suicide so that the man could be buried in his religious tradition. The suicide may have only been known through oral tradition. (I'm speculating here.)
The names Joannis, Brigittae and Margarettam are the Latin version of the English names John, Brigit, and Margaret; R.C. documents were written in Latin at that time and the English names were transposed into Latin.
