Are you related to them? I am related to them via their son Samuel Kelbaugh Jr. (he was my great grandmother- Helen Miller- Parks grandfather)he took her and her father Ellsworth Miller and sister (Ethel)& brother (Ellsworth L.) in when their mother died of tuberculosis in 1909.

Helen Miller-Parks was my fathers paternal grandmother

I have them all on my family tree

We are related to Samuel and Susan. I am very interested in any information you might have about them or the people they were descended from. We are descendants of Samuel's son Johnzey, but I do not have any dates or information about Johnzey except that he married Amanda Myers. I believe they lived in the Maryland area. Also do not have any information about the parents of Samuel or Susan. Thanks for your response!

Well I am assuming we are related! How cool! My grandfather was
Kenneth Parks
his mother was Helen Miller
her father was Ellsworth Miller
he was married to Rose Kelbaugh (she was the one who died at age 26 from TB)
her father was Samuel Kelbaugh who was married to Elizabeth M. Blizzard

I bought the ancestry membership and have been researching this with the help of my dad who remembers places, people and such...I found Rose Kelbaughs obituary but the name was spelled Kalbaugh which through me off then in another paper it was Kelbaugh...then when I did the search on ancestry, I saw that the BLIZZARDS were neighbors with the Kelbaughs in Carroll Co. MD (Woolery) so it was too much of the same. I do not have death certificates as of yet but all the dates and ages match.

I do not know much except that Samuel Kelbaugh was a widow in 1900 and his daughter died in 1909. HIm and Elizabeth
(she went by Mollie had 7 kids but only 5 living) Johnsey was Samuels older brother. I know that in 1900 Susan ( real name Susanah was widowed as well) and at one time Alfred & Francis (Frankie)lived with her as adults. I wonder if I can send you this family tree? Let me know if this helps...how are you related? I do know that Samuel ended up in PA at one time... (Adams County, Gettysburg, York area)

The Carroll County link is correct. All of my family descended from Samuel and Susan were in Carroll County and Blizzard is a Carroll Co name as well.
My great grandmother was Susie Jane Kelbaugh (1876-1937 and she married Phillip Rill. Susie's parents were Amanda Myers Kelbaugh and Johnsey Kelbaugh. I have not been able to go any further back than Susan and Samuel. Do you have any death dates for Susan or Samuel?? I have 1900 for Samuel but do not know if that is correct.
