Keich Family-Tamaqua{George 1840 and Stella{Children-Caroly, Katie,Lizzie, Julianna, George, Conrad, Millie}
I am looking for any relatives of this Keich Family. There are so many Keich families in Tamaqua. My great grandmother was Julianna who moved to Philadelphia and married Hermann Mueller. I thought she was from Philadelphia but now a whole family has opened up. She was born 1866 and died 1942. All I know is her brother Conrad Keich was born 1875 and died May 23, 1899 in Philadelphia from typhoid and was married to Bertha Kappler{I found the obituary which was saved in her belongings}. Brother George Keich was born 1871 and had a son Edward Franklin Keich.I think Millie married Francis Kleckner but that is just from records I found on the internet. Originally Carolyn went to Philadelphia with Julianna to work for their Uncle who owned a hotel or restaurant? Many are buried in the Odd Fellows cemetary which I am going to visit. However, I am looking for any relatives that are still alive. Thanks Joyce Harrison

Re: Keich Family-Tamaqua{George 1840 and Stella{Children-Caroly, Katie,Lizzie, Julianna, George, Conrad, Millie}
Hello Joyce, I am a family member of the Keich's. My grandmother was Emily Keich, daughter of Frederick and Anna (Hyman). Emily had 11 brothers and sistsers (Fred, Valeria, Anna, John, william, Albert, Solomon, George, Carrie, Mildred and Hazel. Emily also had a son, Russell E Keich (Listed in the 1930 census with the family), who was my father and he died in 1973. Emily also had a daughter, my aunt through a second marriage, who is still living in Tamaqua. My ggrandfather was Frederick born in 1893 and his father was also Frederick born in 1867. I believe his father was William born in 1844, but that is as far as I have been able to get. Let me know if you have any more information through William or maybe the Hymans and we can hopefully share information. My Aunt recalls alot about the Keich family, so maybe we can help you. Thanks!, Tracy Keich McMillan morewasabi@adelphia.net

George was my uncle. Emily was my aunt. Her daughter is my closest cousin whom I have weekly contact. I think she can be a help to you. I did not know the family because of being orphaned at a very young age. I am Hazel's daughter. I hope we can contact each other somehow and meet. Esther emonm314@yahoo.com

Re: Keich Family-Tamaqua{George 1840 and Stella{Children-Caroly, Katie,Lizzie, Julianna, George, Conrad, Millie}
My grandmother was a Keich. Dorothy Elizabeth- Married to William Jonas Moyer= Children- William (died as infant), Harry Gordon Moyer(died in 1974), Donald Moyer(died in 197?), Kenneth W Moyer, Carol Ann Moyer. I know nothing of the Keich line. Either no one in my immediate family won't tell or doesn't know all that they claim to know. My father (Kenneth William Moyer) was only 6 when Dorothy E (Keich) Moyer died about 1949 and was in her early 40's. He knows nothing of her and is unsure of her DOB even. Carrol Moyer and my father are the only two of the Moyer/Keich line of my family left so Dorothy's lineage is pretty slim for me....does any of this ring a bell? Do you have information on that name? The family was in Tamaqua and Walker Twp for a long time. Most of the Moyer side is still there with the exception of myself and my parents who are in Lancaster County now.
Thank you
Kevin Gordon Moyer

Re: Keich Family-Tamaqua{George 1840 and Stella{Children-Caroly, Katie,Lizzie, Julianna, George, Conrad, Millie}
Hi Kevin, It does not sound like your Keich ancestry line is what I am trying to find. I believe my great grandmother, Julianna {Keich} Mueller's sisters names are correct. There is no Dorothy in that generation. Do you possibly know who Dorothy's parents were? There are many people with the name Keich in Tamaqua. That has given me great difficulty trying to trace back my family this far back. I'm sure I have many relatives in Tamaqua but unable to find unless they know their geneaology back to the 1850's and this particular family. I do not have any geneology further forward that the original names! I do know my great/great grandfather, George Keich also had a brother, so this may have added to all the names "Keich" in Tamaqua also. I do have some birth/death dates on some of my great grandmothers sisters and brothers. I am not at home right now but will post them when I get home. I would love to find some of my relatives in Tamaqua but has become such a daunting task. Good Luck to you.

I know she had sisters- Mary, Lavina; brothers- Ernest, Anthony, William, Harry. Parents Anthony Keich and Susan A (maiden unknown so far). I know that Anthony's father was porn in Germany. That's all I have on that side. With such a small town there has to be a point that we intersect somehow.

Hi Joyce, do you know who Conrad Keich's parents or brothers and sister were? My Rebecca Keich had siblings in Tamaqua. Her mother was Barbara, born May 24, 1802. The brothers and sister I know of are Regina, Conrad, and George Gottlieb. George was married to Anna Catharine Stutzmann. Conrad was married to Barbara Elizabeth Oschmann, and Regina was married to Johannes Weber.
