Can anyone tell me anything about this woman, or identify her husband and 5 children?

You may want to check the San Berardino area for decendants. I suspect she and her family were traveling from Salt Lake City (Spanish Fork) to SAn Berardino (Glenn Helen)
when she died. Due to the location of the Salt Lake trail in the vicunity if her grave.

Was thinking today. You may want to check with the LDS Church for information. I suspect she and family are Mormon and the LDS Church may have records on them. As they maintain excellent family records.

there is no concrete evidence nor empirical data there is indeed a body there in the flats of the mojave desert. there was supposedly a bottle with a note - easily faked. i have been out to this location and it is more likely something someone created in modern times - creating the myth of the dead pioneer woman. it makes a story people want to believe.
