I'm looking for this family that were supposed to have relocated to Canada after the wife/mother was killed:

Christian Kebel, had 2 children Carry 1893, and Auguste
Gensine 1895.

They would have moved after 1896 from WI USA. Thank you for any assistance. The children would be my grandfather's first cousins.

There is an entry in the homesteading records for a Christ. Kebel who took up SE Quarter of Section 4, Township 45, Range 12, West of the 4th Meridien. This puts him two sections away from a Jacob Kebel who is on the SW Quarter of Section 2. This area is between Calgary & Edmonton in Alberta.

There is reference to his family here:

They show up in the 1906 Census indexed as Rebel:

hello, I saw your query about Chris Kebel and his family in Canada. Chris Kebel was my Great Grandfather and I have an large Family Tree of him, his decendants and his ancestors both in Canada,Wisconsin and in Germany.Chris's daughter was Adeline Kebel who was my Grandmother. She married my Grandfather Wenzel Phillip Strachota. Chris and his family lived in Killam Alberta as did my Grandparents Wenzel and Adeline Strachota. I hope you are still out there..

My ggrandmother was a sister to his WI wife, Mary. Which wife was Adeline from? Several of Mary's ancestors are buried in an unmarked plot. I would be interested in what happened to Mary's daughters, since they would be my blood. Thank you. I don't think my grandfather ever knew Mary or his first cousins. His mother died while giving birth to his little sister, he was quite young. Thank you.
