Re: Family England/Canada (KEBBELL)
Hello Jean
I hope you see this message as I’ve tried to contact you personally however my message bounced back. . I believe your Frederick and my John Kebbell b. 1835 were brothers, sons of John Kebbell born in 1811 and his wife Hannah.
From the census records, I have recorded your Frederick and Mary Jane D’arcy had at least 10 known children. Also, are you aware of the Abney Park Cemetery website? I believe Mary Jane is buried there in 1908 at the age of 68. It’s possible that John and Hannah are buried there too. You may find several other familiar Kebbell names listed in the cemetery index as well. Feel free to contact me for more information.
You mention Sidney Rhodes Kebbell. I know from the 1881 census he’s the son of Edward Rhodes Kebbell and I’ve gathered the various census info for both families. Do you happen to know if Edward Rhodes Kebbell is a brother of Frederick and John by any chance? Do you have the rest of their brothers and sisters?
I look forward to hearing from you as I’d like to know more about your family line. In my case. my mother came to Canada as war bride during WWII.

Re: Family England/Canada
Hi, My name is Kristin. My husband Mark is the great grandson of annie kebbell, whom we believe to be the daughter of Frederick Samuel Kebbell, who married Mary Jane D'Arcy in 1859, in St. Matthew, Bethnal Green. Annie was registered as Hannah Maria when she was born in 1863 in Plumstead. I have her with her family in censuses in 1881 and 1871. she has a sister, emma a. I also have John and hannah Kebbell, Frederick's parents, in censuses from 1841 to 1881, after which they both died. I don't have any information about their parentage. I found the marriage of Richard and mary ann d'arcy, mary jane's parents, but no further back. Do you have more? Would you like to see the census images? Do you have any photos? It would be lovely to hear any stories about the family.
