I too am researching the Keatinge family.
My grandmother's father was Wm Hawkshaw Keatinge.
My searching leads me to a Richard J Keatinge Tobacconist born Ireland and Mary A Keatinge born Liverpool

I have recently heard from a newphew of my grandmother, he is 85. He told me that the "e" was dropped from the Keatinge name as they lived in a predominantly Catholic village. Dropping the "e" made is appear more like a "Catholic" name.

He was not sure that this was the actual story or not.

Maybe there is a connection between our families.
