I'm looking for information on the KEATINGs from Barnaboy, Daingean (Philipstown) in County Offaly (King's County). Matthew and Margaret (Handiboe/Hardine) had at least 6 children -- Peter born 29-6-1818, Edward bap 23-9-1821, Matthew baptized 21-6-1823, Mary Ann bap. 2-3-1827, Margaret bap. 23-1-1829 and Thomas bap. 22-11-1834. Peter is my ggg grandfather. He arrived in the U.S. around 1851 and settled in Southington, CT until his death in 1899. He married Rosannah Hughes in Meriden, CT but she hailed from Rhode or Croghan, near Barnaboy, Offaly. Her sisters Catharine and Bridget and brother Michael also were in the Southington area by the early1860s. I'm very interested in Matthew's family in Barnaboy.
