Not really, I have been trying for a long time now and I keep running into dead ends. It all stops at my grandfather Kedrick K. Keal. From there its a blank as I would say no one knows anything. But I will keep on searching 'till I find something.

Thanks for the reply,

Hi John,

I've been researching my KEAL line for the past couple of years. My ancestor immigrated to Australia, from Lincolnshire, England, in 1888. There are quite a lot of KEAL families in the Census records in England during the 1800's and mostly, although not all, in the Lincolnshire area. Do you know when your family migrated to US? It's likely that they went there from UK at some stage I would think.
I've got access to the Ancestry Census images for UK, but don't have access to USA data. Have you tried looking for Kedrick on the USA Census? That might help give his birthplace and possibly parents names.
Please feel free to contact me if you'd like anything further, I'm happy to help where I can.
Ultimately, I think that I'd like to try and do a One-Name Study on the KEAL name, but that will take quite a lot of time and effort and right now, I don't have the time.
Hope this might help you a bit.

Regards
David Keal

Hi John,

Whilst I don't have access to the US Census records on Ancestry, I did have a look at the index and found a couple of entries for Kedrick KEAL. Perhaps you could find someone who has access and is happy to do lookups for you? Or it could be worth your while to take out a trial subscription on Ancestry and do the lookups yourself. You should be able to find Kedrick's parents and their year and place of birth. If you can follow back in the Census you might find when your ancestors came to USA.
What I found so far:

1930 Census - Kedrick KEAL, b. Abt 1916, Fayette Indiana
1920 Census - Kedrick KEEL, b. Abt 1915, Fayette Indiana

Keep in mind that often you may find transcription errors if the enumerators handwriting was difficult to read etc.
I'd say the above entries are probably the ones you are looking for though.
Let me know if I can help further.

Cheers
David
