Martins in my family tree as well
My grandmother was a Martin, of upper class Virginian descent. I know little beyond this but with a mix of Martins, we may be related in some way.

Trying to locate descendents of William Keady. Parents were William Keady and Ann McGee. Came to Canada from Ireland about 1832. William and a brother and two sister moved on to the States, probably NY. William Married ( don't know wifes name) and had atleast two daughters Mary and Martha. Any of this fit?? Gerry Kadey

I think the names Keady, Kedey, Cady, has as its Gaelic translation, the form: O'Ceidigh. (phonetically: O Kay Dee)The name Keady, Cady or O Ceidigh is not exactly the most common names in Ireland.
My ancestors are both O'Ceidigh and Keady. I was born Keady in Galway the west of Ireland. My father was born Keady in Dublin in the east of Ireland. My Grandfather born Keady in Cork in the south of Ireland. My Great Grandfather born O'Ceidigh from Spiddal, Connemara Co Galway.
Mairtin O'Ceidigh, Galway, Ireland

It appears that you didn't receive my reply so I will try again. I did know that Kadey, Kedey, Keady , probably came from the Gaelic O'Ceidigh. Actually, Padraig O'Ceidigh, a professor at the University College Galway, did research on Keady's in Ireland. He was in contact with a 2nd cousin of mine until he became ill and past away. The problem I am having, is tracking our family back in Ireland. All of the name changes certainly don't help. ...Gerry Kadey
