I have an Alice E Keach (found with her Keach family in the 1900 US Federal Census, CT, Windham, Brooklyn - District 510) who married William A. Slater (found with her Slater family in the US Federal Census - CT, Windham, Killingly):

William A. Slater, 23, 1st marriage - married 5 years, born in CT
Alice E. Slater, 22, 1st marriage - married 5 years, born in CT

Beatrice M. Slater, 2, born in CT

I could not find Alice or William Slater in the 1920 US Federal Census, but I did find them in the 1921 and the 1923 Danielson (Connecticut) Directories. However, in the 1928 Danielson (CT) Directory there is only mention of William A. Slater, "carpenter and mason" and not Alice E.

I found Alice E. Slater in the 1930 US Federal Census as an inmate at the Norwich State Hospital. She is listed as being 42 at that time.

I would greatly appreciate any info about when exactly and why Alice E. Keach Slater went into the Norwich Hospital.

Thank you,

Monica
