My ggg grandmother's maiden name was Marjanna (called Mary Ann)KAWA or KAVA. I don't have birth or death dates, but her first husband (in Poland) was named Carl BUCHOLTZ and her 3 children were born in 1857, 1860 and 1864. She was widowed before coming to the US (Manistee, MI) around 1880. She was a widow at the time she came and married a man by the last name of ZIOLKOWSKI. Presumably, she died in MI, but I haven't found a death record. I'm not sure if there's any connection, but ...

My great great grandmother, Magdalena Kawa, lived in Wola Cicha. She was born around 1891. She came to the US in 1909. Perhaps they are related.
