Hi
I am trying to trace my tree through marriage.

My mother in law was Elizabeth Kavanagh whose

father was a farmer from this address. I think! She went to London 1938 ish and married Gerrard Keogh-Peters. Then went to live in New Zealand Please could you tell me if there is any connection. She had a brother Martin who was a farmer and had a wife called Maura ( I think ) and they had a number of children. My e-mails is: mrssbagley@yahoo.co.uk

I seek info on a Felix Kavanagh who emigrated to Illinois, had a goodly amount of acreage in DuPage County and passed away prior to 1865. There is some relationship between Felix and my mother's family (Edward Kavanagh, John Kavanagh), as part of the Felix Kavanagh land ended up with my gr gr grandfather.

Felix is such an unusual name for an Irishman, especially in the 1800s. Have you put together a family tree yet? See my tree KERN on Ancestry.com for what I have figured out so far on Kavanagh in Illinois. This family was close with LAWLER and BUTLER families.

Reference Myles Kavanagh b.1847 appears on Aughnamaulmeen, Monaseed, Wexford 1901 census living with his brother Bryan b 1837.
My gmother was Catherine Kavanagh b.1876 in Wexford. She arrived USA Boston, Massachusetts, living in Somerville Massachusetts. Her brother is Myles Kavanagh b 1869 Wexford.
I note that in your Jul 2007 post your show a Myles Kavanagh "died a bachelor". Since Myles seems an unusual Irish given name I'm trying to tie these families together. I've found many Irish will name their children after their siblings. Perhaps a sibling of Myles the bachelor named my great uncle Myles b 1869 Wexford. Can you help bring some clarity to this?
