I do believe we are cousins, my name is Margaret Cowher also from Williamsport PA and Joe Cowher was my uncle. My grandfather Myron McIntyre Cowher, died in 1981, I am the daughter of his son Myron paul (Catfish) Cowher. All this ancestry stuff is enough to drive you crazy. My understanding from my father was that sometime in the mid to late 1700's The first Cowher's came over here from I believe Ireland and possibly Germany. The family from what I was told started out with 13 brothers and sisters and each had large families and so on. My grandfather Myron was one of 13 but it could be 12 brothers and sisters. They were almost all born in Bellefonte area of Pa. My immediate family consists of three brother Myron McIntyre II, Russell Paul and Steven James Cowher. Steven is the only one living in the Williamsport area. I know some of my great uncles and aunts were Joe, Arthur, Eugene, Charles, Nancy and Carrie, There are others but my mother couldn't remember all their names. any other info on family would be appreciated email me at jumpinjackflash37@cox.net

I am your 4th cousin. I descend from the McEntires. Carrie May McEntire McIntyre married Arthur Boyd Cowher in 1889. It would be nice to hook up.

Hello,
This may come at a very late moment. But I was just trying to find some information on what could be new input regarding my biological grandfather. With NO other motive than to actually get to know who he might have been as a person, his potential family, and how/why events developed the way they did in the past.
You see, my siblings and I were never told (until recently) that our grandfather was NOT really the man we always have called "grandpa" but rather, a man named Myron Paul Kaucher/Cowher. As you will understand, some of us have started to wonder and enquire more and more about him, who he was, why things didin´t work out between him and our grandmother and why they actually divorced and never knew anything further from each other.
I would say, the most affected party is probably my mother, who has forever searched for her real father, with the only purpose of putting a face to the name and logically, wanting to know him.
If you are reading this message and feel you may have or DO HAVE some valuable information, I´d be inmensely grateful for any links to the above mentioned man.
If he were alive, he´d have to be somewhere around his late 70´s up to late 80´s perhaps. He would have lived in Pennsylvania (probably in Williamsport) and would have married a lady named Lorene May Otto (my grandmother).
Thanks for any/all info. I look forward to hearing from anyone with info.
kind regards,
Charlie.

Margaret!
I just had my cousin Shannon call a number I found on another page related to ancestry and got your Mom on the phone!
It so happens that WE ARE realated and you are my AUNT!!!! I am Susie´s son, Charlie.
My mother is the second daughter from your dad´s first marriage!! She (my mom) thought she was completely alone in this world ever since my aun Jeannie died. Now, I don´t even know how I´m gonna break this news to her.
Your mom was an absolute angel and gave us so much information and background.
My head is spinning as I type to you, since we both thought this moment would never happen in our lifetime! I hope I can hear from you, as I would really like to meet ALL (or as many as possible) of you. If you can, pls write to cfcruz@agrocentro.info
I am over the moon to know I´ve got an aunt and other uncles!!! I´ve got a family actually!! :) :) (aside of the one which I grew up with and whom you already know about. But I NEVER DID about all of you!!!).
Hope to hear from you!! This is the breaktrhough of a lifetime for me.
Sincerely,
Charlie
