Zygmund C. "Ziggy" Kaminski, 92,
of Lawrenceville,
passed away Sunday, Sept. 11, 2011.
He was the devoted husband of 65 years to Regina C. (Rasimczyk) Kaminski; beloved father of Robert (Marcia) Kaminski, Marianne (Paul Forshey) Dehart, Anne Marie McDonald and the late John Kaminski; grandpap of Jonathan Kaminski, Jennifer (Brian) Abbott, Christopher Kaminski, Tina (Josh) Kennell, Laura Kaminski, Kevin (Kristin) McDonald, Katie McDonald, Briana Pittman, Paul Forshey, Kayla Forshey and Ali Pittman; great-grandpap of Ashley, Austin, Aerianna, Aidan and Adyson Abbott; brother of Josephine Domyslawski, Florence Biedrzycki, the late Jenny Moneski and Helen DeRiso; also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Ziggy was a decorated World War II Army veteran, serving in the 712th Tank Battalion throughout the European Campaign. Ziggy lived a dedicated life of service to his church in many roles and community in many ways. Until his last days, Ziggy remained an active member of the Bauerstown AARP, Men's Club of Glenn Avenue Presbyterian Church and the Holy Name Society of his church. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at the WALTER J. ZALEWSKI FUNERAL HOME, 216 44th St., Lawrenceville. Funeral Mass will be at 8:30 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of the Angels Parish, St. Augustine Church.
