Kalacinski from Kleczew, Poland
Though my family now spells the name differently, Ellis Island listed my ancestor's last name as Kalacinski or Kolacinski. They came from Kletzewo/Kleczewo, Poland in 1907. Some of the names on my end of the tree are Frank (Francizek) & Stephen (Stefan). They came with their brother-in-law Wladyslaw to see their father T. Kolaszinski. The family stayed in Brooklyn.
If anyone thinks they have any link, please contact me! :)
Thanks.

Hmm... I don't see any Anthony Kalacinski on my tree, but my info is limited. Do you know Anthony's parents' names (especially his father's name) or grandparents' names?

Re: Kalacinski from Kleczew, Poland
As far as my mother's family record, my grandfather Casimir Kolasinski was born in 1893 or94. He came to america in Nov. 1909. His father John (Jan) Koloszewski owned a small farm in Wiesc Ludziejik (at that time Russian occupied area of Poland) and lists he town as Gmina Jeleniewo in the county of Powait Suwalki. John (Jan) came to America at least 4 times before my grandfather to work in the coal mines In Pittsburg, PA. My grandfather had 4 brothers and 2 sisters; Cass, John,William, Tony, Mary and Stephanie. His brother Antek (tony) served in the Kosak Army. His brother John died in a gun shot accident. I know his sisters married but he lost contact with his family during WWII. I understand my great grandfather was John Kolasa who had two children (Jon) John and Camille (Kamilia) don't know if there is any connection but I am having a terrible time finding information and thought I would send this along.

Re: Kalacinski from Kleczew, Poland
The members of my family that I remember are buried with Stev Kolasinski and Chester Kolasinski. They lived in Schenectady NY. Stev came to Ellis in 1906 and changed to Kalasinski like me. A researcher on ancestry.com told me Stev's parents were Franciszka Sulkowska and Jan Kolasinski from Zale. The person told me there was also a Jennifer. My father knew Stev as his Grandfather. He thinks he remembers Chester as uncle Chet but I can't find an official connection except they lived at the same address one yr. Does any of this match?
