Hello,

I,m looking for descendats of my great grandfather 4(or 5 brothers) and 2 sisters who left Poland (at that time Russia)after their parents death. Probably it was Pawel (Paul) Kajkowski, Teofil (Theophil) and Stanisław Kajkowski. Other names are unknown so far. In Ellis Island records it is stated That Teofil Rajkowski and Stanislaw Rajkowski both from Proboszczewitz (Proboszczewice near Plock) came to brother Pawel Kajkowski. Teofil was a soldier in World War I. There is in family "sources" a picture of americal soldier of World War II. Probably one son(Czeslaw) of somebody who left Poland stayed in Poland. My great granfather Piotr Kajkowski married Helana Pankowska. Their children: Piotr, Aleksy, Marcelina. Piotr and Helena died in 1959 and 1965. My grandfather Aleksy with his wife Henryka Ziolkowska were living in Proboszczewice (near Plock). Died in 1991 and 2001. Someone from our family wrote letters to him. Piotr (son of the Piotr) moved to Lodz and married Sabina Kikolska. Marcelina Kajkowska married Jan Ziolkowski (brother of Henryka Ziolkowska. Any information, contats will be great.

Hello,
My great-grandfather was Stanislaw Kajkowski from Plock. He was born in 1880 and was married to Bronislawa (b. 1878). He did have a brother, Julian, who I believe stayed in Poland. I do have more details but I need to dig them up. Any connection? I am descended from their son, Kazimierz (Charles).

Hello,

In the past it was probably 3 regions where Kajkowski family lived: near Plock (in 18th and 19th century in Kruszczewo, the n Biala, Trzebun, Peszyno, Proboszczewice and probably others also, near Czestochowa and near Poznan. More then 50% of population lives near Plock. The oldest records I've found are from 1779. I have already more than 200 names of Kajkowski, many Jozef, Jan, Stanislaw. The closes relatives to me I've already have, but my goal is to create as wide as possible a Kajkowski's history in Mazowia reagion (so far I have more that 200 surnames with family (not maiden) name Kajkowski. My Stanislaw married Josephine, and later Francis. I would say that your Stanislaw on 90% is a relative to my family. So far I have not found (till let say 1930) any Kajkowski who were living near Plock who was not related to each other. If you could write to me bkpriv@wp.pl with some details like his place of birth I hope I will be able to provide you more info. So far I've gathered only info (let say completed in 80% just from Proboszczewice parish), but next step will be Biala parish. I know for sure that part of the family was living there in 19th and 20th century.
Regards
Bogdan

Hello,

Could you give me a place where you Stanislaw was born? Just last week I've got in touch with another part of family.... From their line at least two people emigrated. None of them was Stanislaw but Stanislaw could be a second or third of generation .... Place of birth could make verification more easy..., especially that I'm going to Plock next week

My great grandfather was Stanislaw Kajkowski born in Plock, Poland (Dragane?)about 1880. He married Bronislawa Kempczinski. She was born about 1878 in Plock, Poland (Emelnice?). They traveled a few times between Poland and Brooklyn, New York, but eventually stayed in New York. They had 4 sons...possibly one or two were born in Poland, but the others were born in USA.
I hope that helps. Thanks for the exchange of information. I wish you a safe trip.
Thank you,
Lori Kajkowski

Lori,

That is great news! This family I will meet were living in Draganie near Plock. Common ancestor with them and probably also with you (so far no proof, but I'm sure on 95%)were Jan Kajkowski and Malgorzata Sarwinski. They have 5 sons and 2 daughters. One of them was Jan (again) - that is my great great grandfather, another- Pawel was the youngest child - he was born in 1851. Pawel had 4 sons (as far as I know till now): Jan born about 1875, Damazy who emigrated to USA (I have his registrations cards for WW I and WW II and it is stated his birth place Draganie), Boleslaw - also emigrated and another brother - perhaps it was you Stanislaw. I hope to know much more after 8-th of October. I've got in touch with this part of family just about 2 weeks ago - they know quite a lot about their part of family. During the mailing conversation we found many information (before I knew only that before and after WW II in Draganie was living a family Kajkowski and they were relative to my family. I'm sure it will be very fruitful visit.
Keep fingers crossed. I will let you know after my visit. As far as I remember I have your e-mail address.
Bogdan

I am trying to track the Siecinski(Siecienski)families that lived in Proboszczewice Parish from 1790 to 1890 My ggrandfather was Jozef Siecinski(Siecienski)born 1865 in Poland married to Antonette Yeromin(Jeromin originally but americanized)I have in my records an Antonina Paprocka who married Jozef Siecinski In 1819 in Ruszkowo Wielkie. This Siecinski was born in 1797.I am trying to find the Siecinski's born after Jozef Siecinski of 1797 but before Jozef Siecinski of 1865 who lived in Proboszczewice Parish.Did you go to an LDS center to find the names of residents of Proboszczewice Parish or is this somewhere on the internet? Also from Paprocki records I see two brothers each having parents Franciszek and Salomea yet one spells his name Siecinski and the other Siecienski.Anyone have an idea why? Thanks for your time.

Hello,
Are you sure that your Siecinski (Siecienski) ancestors lived i Proboszczewice Parish? There is another parish next to Proboszczewice - this is Gozdowo parish. I found my Siecienski ancestors there. It was quite many Siecienski living there since 1769. On the other hand on Jean Dupon web page you can find many Siecienski too and probably close to Ruszkowo. By the way Badkowo parish is my "mothernal" roots. Yes I use LDS microfilms for reaserches. Sometimes I used also gov archives - I live in Poland. It was quite often that priest wrote the same last name in different way. My for example was Kaykowski Kajkowski Kaykoski...etc... 99% Siecienski and Siecinski is the same name.
