Maybe I can help some here. Hans Jacob Kaiser and Maria Affolter are Swiss and not German. They are of my Ancestry.However his Maria was born 1698. The Maria that was born in 1702 was the wife of Durs Kaiser (both also Swiss). In my treeI did find a Hans Ulrich Kaiser the was born 1791 and several Ulrich Kaiser but none born around 1717.

If you are sure that your Hans Ulrich is German then he is not of these lines as almost all Swiss Kaisers are part of my family line. If he is Swiss then we might be able to tie him in somewhere.
