Turns out we are related through Theodore Johann Kaiser(Jan 25, 1805-Aug 30,1880). His father was Gerhard Kaiser(DOB-DOD) unknown.Gerhard died in Germany. His mother was Anna Maria(Wiesjohann). They had six children William,Bernard,Gerhard Henry,Theodore Johann, Anna and Otto. All siblings were born in Herzebrock.
In 1834 three of Gerhard's children William,Bernard,Anna, and her husband immigrated to America. William became ill with yellow fever and died in New Orleans. Bernard became ill and died somewhere in the south. Anna and her husband made the journey to Ohio.
Two years later our common ancestor Theodore Johann traveled to America with his mother Anna, and two of his brothers Otto and Gerhard Henry jr. They arrived in New Orleans. Otto died on the boat. The rest of the family traveled to Glandorf,Ohio where they lived for two years. They then moved to Minster, Ohio where their mother Anna Maria,died on August 12,1838. Theodore married Anna Elizabeth Stegeman on Nov.10,1840 in St Augustine Church in Minster,OH. Anna Elizabeth and Theodore Johann had ten children. They were Henry,Bernard,Anna,John Henry,Joseph,Frank,Anton Henry, two daughters both named Maria and a son William died in infancy. My great grandfather was Anton Henry Kaiser.
