My father Richard and his brother William and sister Loraine were relatives of Louie and Ikie Kaider and I also know of an Edward Kaider, Whom I've talked about 10 years ago. My father and uncle and aunt are all deceased. I have 3 cousins named Kojder and 2 sons and a daughter. Please reply if you have any other information to share.

Looks like we're related. Richard was my grandfather Alexander Kaider's cousin. My grandma Stephanie Kaider nee Moranda said your father used to raise rabbits and her daughter Kimberly would go out to visit in Willow Springs. Louie was my grandpa's brother. I met Edward Kaider at the DMV oddly enough.. they called out our names at the same time.. we looked at the spelling and it was the same. It turned out that we are cousins (very distant, but cousins none the less). Please reply with any info on the name or ethnic origin. Feel free to email me at DOLLKONN@aol.com
Glad to have found family..
love,
your cousin kristin

Dear Kristin,

I am a Kaider, I have been researching for approx. 12 yrs. I am the daughter of Matthew Kaider, my grandfather Mathew (one 't') or also known as Mateusz was from Poland. Galicia, Budy Lancuckie, Austrian Poland. I am currently in touch with my cousin in Poland too. Please contact me. I have been doing this so long, then I get discouraged because no-one ever keeps their word on continuing. I have found many Kaider's. I myself am one of eight children. I have many stories after speaking to many of the older ones from Long Island, NY. All the names you speak of are familiar. I have my grandfathers naturalization papers along with a picture. By the way, I have seen the name spelled Kajder/Kojder/Kaider, I believe all the same and I believe all related. Some familiar names were Martin, Jacob, poss. Maryann, Anthony, Stanley. My problem is linking them to my Grandfather. Possibly all brothers of Matthew. I have a very old family picture...perhaps a wedding with many Kaiders, to include wives, and children. I would love to share it with you. Hope to hear from you soon.

Debbie

Hi,
I am Sophie Brinkman's daughter and cousin of Kristen Kaider (Moriarty).

My sister will be 85 in June and I would like to take her to Poland where my grandfather George Wojciech Kojder came from.

You have obviously done more research than me. Can you help me pinpoint the location where they lived?
Jakub Kojder and Elizabeth Bartnik were his parents.

I believe that George Wojciech was born on April 19, 1886.

Deb Brinkman
