I am looking for a family from a family story. Two daughters named Elizabeth and Susannah. And a son named Thomas that may have died young. The mother of these kids may have died when they where young. They would be livig in the Orange Co, NC area. Most likely in whats now the Durham County area. The kids would be born 1735-1750.

Last name could be spelled:
Cain
Kain
Kean
Keen
Kahan
or something like that.

I would love any info,
Kimi Southerland

Hi Kimi,

KAHN and KAHAN are Jewish names. My KAHAN ancestors migrated from Galicia (now western Ukraine) to Hungary (now Romania) in the late 18th-early 19th century. KAHN is more typically a German Jewish name. Although some German Jews settled in the south in the 18th and 19th centuries, unless you have reason to believe this family was Jewish, the name was probably not KAHN or KAHAN.
