Hello William, I was curious about your post because my father grew up in North Tonawanda. His name was Arthur Vincent Kage, born 1923. His father was Vincent Kage, of German decent. Is it a coincidence, or same family?

Hi, I've joined ancestry.com

this is my family also--I actually have pictures of them in the Thesalon, Ontario logging camp.

Arthur was my great Uncle, I've visited him lately at Mount Olivet Cemetary :-)

They are part of the same family, I have lots of documentation, grave registrations and pictures. Arthur and Harvey Kage had a falling out. Harvey is my Grandfather. Helen, their sister died in the Pandemic in 1918.

if you are still looking for information, let me know! I have lots of family pictures.

I actually live in MD, have family still in NT area.

I'm pretty sure Arthur Kage would be my great uncle-buried at Mt Olivet. He and his brother, Harvey (my grandfather) had a falling out, but are all buried in the family plot together with their parents, deceased sister and my grandmother. I

We have pictures of the Kage family cabin in Thessalonians, Ontario. It burned in 1926.

Not the same. My Dad didn't have a brother, and is not buried at Mt Olivet.

I may be confused but i believe that Arthur Vincent kage, born in 1923 in Tonawanda is the son is the son of Arthur Kage, born in 1893 in New York. I believe his father, Herman Kage was born in Germany in 1864. My father, is the cousin of Arthur Kage, born in 1923.

I was confused, as there are 2 Arthur's sequentially. The Kage family from th 1890s is buried in Mount Olivet. I have plot information, etc.

The elder Arthur had a sister named Helen and mother Katherine (I'm named for) who died same time from Spanish flu in 1918.

Arthur went on to marry a woman named Helena, which made the lineage confusing.

I am trying to find some ancestral background. I am black and am very curious about my heritage. All of the readings that I come across are from German and England backgrounds. Is there any information that you might have about my ancestry?
