Florence Wienczkowski Kaday, 90,
of Erie, passed away on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Forestview Healthcare.
She was born on October 1, 1922 in Erie,Pa,
daughter of the late Anthony and Julia (Cieslikowski) Wienczkowski. She was a former member of St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church Senior Citizens Group. She worked as an Assistant Buyer for the Boston Store. She also served as President of the Residence Association of Forestview. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John Kaday in 1984, two brothers, Edward and Joseph Wienczkowski, a sister, Catherine Jaskiewicz and a son-in-law Anthony Rizzo. Survivors include three daughters, Patricia I Mastery (Patrick), of Muncie, Indiana, Judith Stokes (Kirk) of Clermont, Fla. Janice Gorny (James) of Waterford, Pa. a son, Brian Kaday and his life partner Paul Hamrick of Orlando, Fla. Also survived by seven grandchildren, Lynn Alexander, Anthony and Mark Rizzo all of Ocoee, Fla., Diana Telles and Lianne Youmans both of West Chester, Pa., Dr. Lee Gorny of Washington, DC and Christopher Gorny of Erie, ten great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a goddaughter, Christine Serota. Relatives and friends may call at the Edward J. Garr Funeral Home, Inc., 459 East 12th Street, Erie, PA 16503 on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be at the funeral home on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00
at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church.
Burial will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to VNA Hospice SVCS of Erie County, 2253 West Grandview Boulevard, Erie, PA 16506. The family would like to thank the staff at Forestview for their loving care.
