I am looking for any background, family ties, etc. for Kacalek. My Great grandfather was Anton Kacalek, born in Bohemia, 1851 died 1929. Wife Emilie, was daughter of Joseph and Mary Samek, born 1852 in Bohemia and died 1956 (age of 104). Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, Wondering if there may be a connection. I am reserching the surname Kazulak or Kazuleak. My ggrandfather came from (I believe the Ukraine) in the early 1900's his name was Precepie (Peter) Kazulak. I was told he had a brother Arthur who came over with him and another brother George. Peter lived in Montreal and then moved to Dundee, Quebec, Canada. He sent for his wife Maria Lichonksi/Liamchomski and they had twelve children. Any chance its the same surname?

Stephane Beaver. I do not think there is a connection as the background of Anton seems quite different. He was born in Bohemia in 1851, married Mary Samek, moved to Russia and later to US in 1888. I appreciate the inquiry and wish you luck.

Thanks for your reply - I will keep on looking - someone out there must have heard of these folks!

I was searching for any information on the name Kazulak and came upon this web site with this request for information. My grandfather was Peter Kazulak of Dundee, Quebec. He had a brother, Arthur. My father, George Kazulak, was the oldest son of Peter Kazulak and Marie Lachomisky. To my knowledge there was no brother to Peter or Arthur Kazulak with the name of George. It has always puzzled me why there would only be two members of this family in Canada (originally) and no information available as to any other family members. If anyone has any information regarding any of these subjects, I would be most interested and would appreciate it sent to my above, e-mail address. Many thanks. Margaret (Margie) Kazulak-Ferguson

I'm not sure if you're still on here, but I'm researching the Samek line (from Bohemia, then Ukraine, then North Dakota) and would love to hear from you and share information.
Please e-mail me. Thanks! MaryAnn
