Lauretta Kabacinski, 97, Green Bay, died peacefully, Saturday, April 7, 2007, at a local nursing home. She was born March 16, 1910, in Freemont, Wis., to George and Caroline Weber. On Jan. 24, 1928, she was united in marriage to Henry Kabacinski. She retired from Schreiber Foods in 1972. Lauretta enjoyed embroidering, playing cards and bingo and also time spent at her cottage in Lakewood. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.


Survivors include a daughter, Gloria Tilly; six sons, Lawrence Kabacinski, Justin (Virginia) Kabacinski, Duane Kabacinski, Kenneth Kabacinski, Joseph Kabacinski, Raymond (Rosemary "Jean") Kabacinski; 33 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Lou VanHoof; and a daughter-in-law, Rosemary Kabacinski; a sister-in-law, Lorraine Kabacinski.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry; two children, Donald Kabacinski, Carol Kuske; two sons-in-law, Edward Tilly, Melvin Kuske; three daughters-in-law, Carol Kabacinski, Judy Kabacinski, Val Kabacinski; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother and two sisters.


Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday. Friends may also call at Grace Lutheran Church, 321 S. Madison St., from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday. The Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church with the Rev. Julie Wrubbel-Lange officiating. Burial will be in Nicolet Memorial Gardens.
