Edie,

I just sent you an email on Facebook :)

If anyone else would like to share or swap info my email address is kaaihueproject@gmail.com

I am directly related to Henry Kapono, Kila & Kala Kaaihue (baseball) and Pali Kaaihue is my first cousin. My ancestors on the Kaaihue side are David Kala Kaaihue (siblings: Ike, Kala, Moke, Abraham, Olivia (Aunty Olie), John (Uncle Iwani) and their father Kala Kaaihue. If you know that you are related to any of these people, and you know HOW you are related, please let me know so I can fill in the gaps in my research!

As I've been told, all of us are related somehow. One of the "cousins" I found during my research gave me a TON of information about the Kaaihue's from Maui. As of right now, I have not yet been able to link them to my family from Oahu (who, I was told, came from the big island). If you would like this info, please feel free to email me.

Mahalo!

Leilani

Thank you for your response. My understanding is that the Kaaihue Ohana is very, very, big. I will be happy to share any information I have to help you and anyone else fill in the blanks. I just met a cousin that I never knew I had. It was exciting and I would like to meet or at least know who the rest of my ohana is. I will send you a list of my Kaaihue family this weekend. Work has been very busy and haven't had much computer times with holidays, etc. etc.

Mahalo and will be in touch this weekend.
