Looking for the origins of the family КАРУННЬЩ (last two letters of the russian spelling open for debate!)

They came from the area around Minsk and Sluck, Belarus. Arriving at Ellis island between 1908 and 1912. The largest group entered in 1909.
Michal arrived in March 1909 with Nikita arriving with Alexander on November 17. Also with Nikita and Alexander were their cousin Anton, his wife Alexandra and their surviving children Olga, Palatinka, and Alexander. (1910 Census has four children with the names Boleslana, Corona, Pauline and Alexander.)

The original city in Belarus was written as Zynolodycz, Zabozewo, Zabrzowa, Zabaszi etc!

From Ellis island, they went to Chicago, where they lived in Ward 16 on the 1910 Census with even more family members listed.

All were active in the Russian Orthodox Church.

Over the years, different branches moved from Chicago looking for more opportunities, but older family still talks of reunions in Chicago and in Michigan.

Any help with the original city in Belarus or information on the fate of the other Karons is appreciated.

Other names of interest --Spouses joining the family from Belarus included women with the maiden names of Komiak or Comiak, and a Step sister name Zinovia Drobina.
