Hi Andy,
Do you have further information on the Julia family? My great great great great grandmother was Dolores Julia, born about 1800. The only record I have found only shows Dolores' paternal name, if there was a maternal name it is missing due to damage to the document I found. Any information you can share would be a great helping me learn more about my family history and ancestry. Do I understand correctly, all Julia in PR are related?
A little information about my family line from Dolores Julia:
Dolores was married to Genearo Marchan y Miranda, both naturals of San Mateo Cangrejos, San Juan. One of their sons, my 3X great grandfather, was Luciano Marchan y Julia, born 1833. He too was born in San Juan. Luciano married Juana Francisca Munoz y Alvarez of Manati (1st wife), where they raised their family.
Luciano and Juana's son was Ramon Marchan y Munoz, natural of Manati, born about 1846. Ramon was married to Catalina Gonzalez y Loubriel of Manati (1st wife). Their son Manuel "Manolo" Marchan y Gonzalez was my great grandfather, b. about 1888 (natural of Manati); father of my grandfather, Ramon "Monchin" Marchand y Robles b. 1911, natural of Barceloneta.
****I should note: I found a death record for one other Julia who died in Manati. Her name was Catalina Julia y Fabregas, natural of Barcelona. She was 88 yrs old at the time of her death in 1894.
The record stated her parents were Don Vicente Julia and Dona Josefa Fabregas, and that Catalina was the widow of Antonio Callox.
Thanks for your help.
