Robert Mark Juilfs ,
Was officer with Houston V.A. Police Dept. Robert Mark Juilfs, 54, of Houston, Texas, formerly of North East, died on Wednesday December 9, 2009 in Houston, Texas due to cardiac arrest.
He graduated North East High School in 1974 and then entered the United States Army for military police training. Bob was an Army MP for 8 years, a guard at Ellington Air Force Base, and a police officer at Veterans Administration Hospital in Houston, Texas. Bob loved his military background and was proud to uphold the law. he was a loving and very devoted son. He received his honorary discharge from the United States Army March 11, 1980. Bob was an accomplished guitar player and was admired by all who heard him play. He was preceded in death by his father, Willard (Bill) Juilfs; and a brother, Daniel Craig Juilfs, Sr. He is survived by his mother, Lavonne Juilfs, of North East; a niece Rebecca Juilfs; nephews, Daniel Craig Juilfs, Jr. (DJ), and Edward Robert Juilfs. Also an aunt, Eula Juilfs, of Medford, Ore.; and best friends, Marylou Malesiewski and Alan Stuntz. He was buried Monday, December 14 with Full Military Honors at Houston National Cemetery. "I've earned that honor and I'll be among America's finest. Good enough for me."
