I also wanted to share this story with you all -
Grandpa Jude, his mother went off and left him when he was two year old. And the little boy fell in the fire and was burning up. And there was a man passing by and heard the little boy screaming, went in, and pulled the little boy out of the fire. The man name was Jimmie Star. He and his good wife Becky raised the boy and he was a fine man. That was Grandpa Jude. Grandpa had a brother, his name was James. I forgot what name he went by. I believe it was Rogers. A old colored man raised him, found him in the woods wandering around by himself.
Their mother went off and left those little boys in a house in the month of November as well as I remember. My Grandma told me there was a fire in the fireplace.
There was two more boys, Jackson and Andy. They went by the name of Fredrick. I never heard about their father, seems like he was dead. I think his name was Peter.
Granddad’s mother took a daughter with her. Grandad had a sister, I don’t know her name. Well the mother of the kids never came back for a long time. Grandpa was married. He married Anna Station, dauther of Malachi and Peggy Station. Grandma Peggy Station was white, as well as I remember, before they was married. I saw her two times before she died.
Well Grandpa and Grandma had 5 boys and 6 girls. Names James, Bean, Harrison, two of the boys died when they were small, Malachi and Charles. Uncle James married Sara Jane, I don’t know who she was, but two kids was borned to them, a girl and a boy. Girl was Louemma, I don’t know the boy name he died when I was a baby. Then Uncle James married again, his wife was Lucinda Endicott. There was 5 boys name Harrison, John, and Peter. Andeville dies when he was a baby. CC was raised by Uncle Harrison. After Uncle died, was 4 girls, Becky, Sara Jane, Martha and Mary was twin girls. Don’t know where any of the kids are at. Aunt Cinda in gone to(sic). She and Uncle James are buried at the Jude Cemetery.
Uncle Bert married Sarah Sammons, 4 boys borned to then 5 girls. I don’t know about the boys name, John, Edd, Matt, and Harrison. Girls name Anna, Alice, Lizzy, Francis and Becky.
Uncle Harrison married Nary Crum (my dad’s sister.) They had 4 boys George, Ben, Lenard(sic), (one still born.) 6 girls Peggie, Linda, Bertha, Jame, Della and Anna.
Aunt Luemma married Riley. 4 borned to them 3 boys, John Richard, and George. 1 girl Mary Jane.
Aunt Peggie married James Dearfield. They had a boy and a girl. Girl name Menda, the boy I don’t know his name died when I was a baby.
James Dearfield was not at himself when his father moved to Ohio, they took him with them and put him in insane Hosp. When he got well he remembered is wife and to(sic) kids, but Aunt Peggie was dead. But Uncle James came back to W. Va an seen his daughter. She was married to John Williamson, had one child, the baby didn’t live long.
Aunt May married Charlie Dearfield. They had 4 boys Eanoch, Lawrence, Wayne and John. 3 girls Flora, Anna, Ada.
Nancy Jude married Matt Crum, my mother and father. There were 5 boys Malachi, Albert, Melvin, John Henry, and Wayne. 4 girls Luemma, Barbara, Menda and Maye. Two of the boys died when they were babies. Wayne got killed in the Williamson Railroad yard. He was a brakeman for the N&W Railroad. That I all I recall of my family.
Aunt Becky married CC Crum. They had three kids. Boy was named Noah. Two girls, Ida and Stella. Uncle CC got killed and Aunt Becky married George Marcum. 1 boy they had name Homer. That iall I remember of the Jude Family.
