Re: My grandmother's last name was Juarbe
My great great grandmother was Herminia Juarbe. Her grandfather Martin Juarbe (married Maria Aldahondo) came from Spain to Isabela, Puerto Rico. Any information about why, how would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Re: My grandmother's last name was Juarbe
My tree has the whole Juarbe story from the first Juarbe that arrived in Puerto Rico (Martin Juarbe Echenique). I'm not sure if you can see it, but if you do, feel free to check it out.
There are many Herminias in the Juarbe tree, but the one you mention I believe is the great grand daughter of Martín Juarbe Echenique. Why he came to PR I'm not sure, probably seeking fortune in the colonies. He came by himself.
If anyone can give info on earlier generations of Juarbes I'll appreciate it. I only went so far to the father of Martín Juarbe Echenique, who went by the name of Martin Joseph Juarbe, who married Feliciana Echenique.
