Mary was born on 15 April 1811 in Downe Twp., Cumberland Co., NJ. She was a daughter of Zaccheus JOSLIN, Sr. (05 Mar 1789/Cumberland Co., NJ - 13 Jun 1862/Cumberland Co., NJ) and Naomi GANDY (1792/Newport, NJ - 1850/Downe Twp., NJ).

Zaccheus was a son of Isaac JOSLIN (1759/Cumberland Co., NJ - 17 Oct 1804/Fairfield, Monmouth Co., NJ) and Mary WHITAKER (abt 1764/NJ - 8 Aug 1828/Downe Twp., Cumberland Co., NJ).
