I'm looking for info on the Joslin family from Cumberland Co. New Jersey. Family tradition says my GG Grandmother, Drusilla, daughter of Elial and Sarah (Hewitt) Joslin was a Tuckahoe Indian. Tuckahoe was a division of the Lenni Lenape Tribe. I'm looking for any info that would substantiate this. It's possible that she was 'adopted' by the Joslin family but again I have no info to prove that. Also, she married James Madison Jones, who jumped ship in the Delaware Bay and then changed his name to Jones to avoid being caught. We have no idea where he is from or what his orginal name was. Anyone have anything I could go on? Thanks!
