I am also looking for Matthew Jones. Mainly because I want to find out who was his wife. My information says he had nine children, Joseph, Mary, Elizabeth, Barsheba, Matthew, Leathy, john, Sarah and Jonathon. How do you suppose a wife becomes unknown when she had all those children. I hail from the daughter, Elizabeth Jones who married Joshua Crooms. SO, if anyone has information, I would appreciate it.

Historical sources, particularly "The Pedigree of the Ancient Family of Dolau Cothi"says, as does the data bank of LDS, that Rowland Jones son of Sir Thomas Johnes/Jones died without issue.

This cuts the tie of Rev Rowland b1640/44 and his father Rowland b 1608 with the Wales line of Johnes/Jones.

The "Rowlands" are my grandfathers and it has taken me several weeks of work to reach this point, but believe this to be correct. The Wales line is fascinating to follow, but it is not our line.

We got notification of positive DNA match with a distant relative James Jones b. 1878 VA.

This is the third JONES match we have. The others distant relatives are Abraham N. Jones b. 1810 VA and James Talmadge Jones b. 1878- 1954.

The names of the current matches are: Mr. Gregory Bruce Jones, David Lee Jones and William Bruce Jones.

My husband's ancestor was Susan Lannom/Lanham from Caswell Co., NC. Years of research has not revealed any positive husband. Susan Lannom/Lanham had four sons born in NC: Nathan, John C., Tillman Wilson and Thomas.

My husband is John Townsend Lannom.

Susan was b. 1765 Caswell Co., NC and died Rutherford Co., TN.

I was just researching the abstract on our home first of all thank you for the amazing info. Secondly Edwin and Harriet were the second owners of 160 acres in Sauk Centre, MN. The 160 acres was purchased October 9th, 1860 for $300.00 from James R. Walker. The acreage was sold April 15th, 1861. The acreage later became a large addition to the town of Sauk Centre.

try searching Limestone county message boards, because i found the same info that your previous post found.
which is the census info for 1940's census info You should go to the Main Library of Limestone county and see if there is a gerontologist is there and maybe they can point you in the right direction.. You probably wont have any leads from locations unless you contact a genealogist.

The second best way is to fill out all of your family's info on the family tree and search.
You should also take a DNA test, because you can find connections through that also.

a fellow, single, with this name is listed in the 1772-73 listing of those who were in Bedford Co. PA before it was divided into Westmoreland Co. PA. There was also a Joseph Jones. http://newsarch.rootsweb.com/th/read/WYNNE-GENEALOGY-SOCIETY... When Washington Co. PA was established there were long time Jones in Fallowfield Twp. that might have some connection to these. Many went back and forth between this SW PA area and KY due to land deals, some going sour, violence with Indians, and some liking one area over the other. nacs

Sometimes people can do lookups for census and other records, but it is necessary to have at least general birth death or residence dates to do so.

Napolean B. Jones b.20 Aug. 1832 died Feb. 25, 1914 in Rockdale, Tx. Buried in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Rockdale, Tx. First wife Mary Sorrell, second wife Susan Hodges. His parents were Richard George Jones, born 15 May 1809 in King George Co, Va., mother Sarah Jane Brewer, also of Va. They are both buried in Calvary Cemetery in Marlin, Texas. Several of Richard and Sarah's children are also buried in Marlin. Looking for descendants of this line of Jones. Napolean was father of 21 children, John Prince Jones, one son, who married Ruth Fielder and had Lynnwood W Jones and then me, Michael Jones. Would be so interested to find relatives.

Need help on documentation of the father of John Jones b.1794 in N.C. had a son Archibald Jones b.1820 in N.C.
moved to Tenn. Archibald was married to a Austin buried in Granny Austin cemetary.
