Update: I did get a copy of his birth certificate from the Railroad Board, it has a man listed as his father as Louis C. Smith?? Family rumor has it that a New Orleans Policeman was his natural father, but that is all I know.

Is there a place to find if a specific person was a NOPD officer around 1927. The man's name is Louis C. Smith. That is all the information I have on him. I recently got a copy of my fathers birth certificate and that is the mans name listed as his father. I am hoping this might be his name. Any help would greatly help.
