Yes, I AM related to the Johnson side--the Raneys married into the Johnsons, but are not my ancestors. I am VERY interested in the Johnson genealogy, if I can find out which Johnson my gr-gr-grandmother, Malinda Brown, married. I find Malinda and her children in Alabama and Arkansas, but the husband is never there with them. Her first child was born in 1847, Alabama---Nancy Amanda. The first three children were listed in the census under the surname Brown at first (1850)---later census records show them under Johnson surname. If you have any Johnson infor to share, I would surely appreciate it.
